With the help of the North Liberty Parks Department, we are bringing more inclusive play opportunities to Penn Meadows Park here in North Liberty with the installation of a Playground Communication Board. Your donations will help fund the total cost for purchase and installation to provide opportunities for children of all abilities to engage in interactive play in our community. Playgrounds offer crucial opportunities for children’s overall development, especially in communication. For children who communicate without words or may be difficult to understand by others, the introduction of public display communication boards ensures they can engage in interactive play. These boards, aptly named “Playground Communication Boards,” extend beyond the playground to various public spaces. They bring tremendous benefits, such as:
